Background
All wand power, and all fairy magic, comes from the Big Wand, so wands stop working if it loses power; they need '1.21 wishowatts'. Wands also seem to hold magic of their own, and the Oh Yeah! Cartoons short Where's the Wand? says whoever holds one controls it and can grant wishes, though humans rarely use them well. A fairy without a wand cannot grant wishes or shape-shift and is nearly defenceless. Lost in Fairy World shows wands are made by putting a star on a stick, with the stars found at the Star Dome, where stars land. Anti-Fairies carry black wands.
