Gobta

Lore & Background

As an Orc Lord, Gobta became the first of Rimuru's elite generals, leading the orc army with distinction. Despite his fearsome appearance and high combat capabilities, he retained his human personality traits: a cheerful disposition, a love for gambling (specifically poker), and a deep sense of loyalty. He often serves as a bridge between the different races within Tempest, using his diplomatic skills to foster unity among humans, orcs, and other monsters.

Reader's Guide

Gobta originated as a human mercenary from Falmouth before being killed by a monster and reincarnated by Rimuru into an Orc Lord. He currently serves as the captain of the Orc Army and a high-ranking diplomat within the Jura Tempest Federation. His personality is defined by his cheerful, laid-back nature and his enduring love for gambling, particularly poker. Despite his transformation into a powerful demon race, he remains deeply human in spirit, valuing friendship above all else.

He shares a strong bond with Rimuru, viewing him as both a savior and a friend, and often acts as the mediator between the more aggressive orcs and the human inhabitants of Tempest. In terms of power progression, Gobta first gained the [Orc Lord] race upon his reincarnation. Later, through the accumulation of experience and Rimuru's unique skills, he achieved the status of a Demon Lord-class entity. His key skills include high-level magic manipulation, enhanced physical stats typical of his new race, and specialized combat abilities that allow him to lead armies effectively.
