Adrián Beltré Pérez, born April 7, 1979 in Santo Domingo, played third base for the Dodgers, Mariners, Red Sox and Rangers across 21 seasons and is counted among the best ever at the position. He reached the majors with Los Angeles at 19 in 1998.

He led the majors with 48 homers for the 2004 Dodgers, was Boston's team MVP in 2010, and then joined Texas, reaching the 2011 World Series. On July 30, 2017 he became the 31st player with 3,000 hits and the first from the Dominican Republic. When he retired after 2018 he had 3,166 hits, the most by any third baseman, along with 477 home runs and 1,707 RBIs, and was the only third baseman with both 3,000 hits and 400 homers. He hit for the cycle three times (2008, 2012, 2015), won five Gold Gloves and four Silver Sluggers, and was voted into the Hall of Fame in 2024, his first year on the ballot.
