Wales This Week is a Welsh current affairs programme produced by ITV Cymru Wales (formerly HTV Wales). It began on 23 September 1982 on HTV Wales, with Elis Owen as its first editor. The programme was the first to report on child abuse in North Wales Children's Homes during the 1980s. By 2009, its format had shifted from hard-hitting journalism to shorter, lighter stories due to ITV budget cuts.
