Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka!

Yehh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka! (international title: *A Magical Love Story*) is an Indian fantasy drama television series that aired on Star Plus from 14 October 2019 to 14 November 2020. Produced by Gul Khan and Karishma Jain, the show starred Vikram Singh Chauhan and Aditi Sharma in the lead roles.

The story follows Aman Khan, a Nawab cursed by a Djinn’s dark shadow, and Roshni Ahmed, the daughter of a Tawaif who is an Ayaana—a girl with the heart of an angel. Aman’s family seeks an Ayaana for him to marry, initially mistaking a girl named Ada for one. Roshni and Ada are frequently present during the same tests, leading to a case of mistaken identity where Ada is believed to be the Ayaana, though Roshni actually passes each test. When Aman’s mother Parveen’s life is endangered by the Jinn’s magic, it becomes clear that only marriage to an Ayaana can protect her—and Ada is not one. Salma, Roshni’s adoptive mother, feigns illness to force Roshni into marrying Aman for money. Aman, misunderstanding Roshni’s motives, treats her with contempt and gives her a cheque after the wedding.

Roshni develops feelings for Aman despite his hostility, but he eventually throws her out due to further misconceptions. When Aman’s brother Kabir tries to kill him, Roshni takes the arrows meant for Aman and dies. Aman realizes his love for her too late. Kabir resurrects Roshni but erases her memories and keeps her under his control. Aman breaks this hold by stabbing her with a magical dagger, restoring her memory. Parveen is revealed to be evil, seeking to become queen of the jinns through her sons. She kills Kabir but cannot kill Aman, who accidentally touches a mighty sword and becomes the new Jinnat ka Badshah. Aman and Roshni reunite.

Later, Aman’s ex-girlfriend Aliya returns with a baby, claiming it is Aman’s, but the child is actually Kabir’s, and Aliya is an evil Ayaana. Parveen attempts to sacrifice the baby to regain her powers, but Aman and Roshni save the child. Roshni fails to expose Aliya, who attacks Parveen, leaving her in a coma. Aman blames Roshni and throws her out again.

One year later, Roshni runs a bakery while Aman worries about Parveen’s declining health. The two grow close again. Kabir returns, and Aman is stabbed while saving Roshni, becoming physically and emotionally weak. In this state, he confesses his true feelings, and they consummate their marriage.
