Wish You Were Here (Once Upon a Time)
The Evil Queen grants Emma's wish to no longer be the Savior.
"Wish You Were Here" is the tenth episode of the sixth season of the fantasy drama series *Once Upon a Time*, first broadcast on November 27, 2016. The Evil Queen uses Aladdin to grant Emma’s hidden wish—that she had never been the Savior—and Regina works to rescue her. Meanwhile, Gold and Belle uncover the threat facing their son, Gideon.
The episode opens with a statue of Queen Snow White and King David in the forest. Events in the Wish Realm occur in a timeline where the Dark Curse never happened, before the episodes "Tougher Than the Rest," "Homecoming," and "Leaving Storybrooke." The Storybrooke events take place after "Changelings."
In Storybrooke, Regina, Emma, and Hook find the Evil Queen kneeling at Robin Hood’s grave. The Evil Queen taunts Regina about love being weakness and compares Emma’s sleeping parents to a "Sleeping Beauty" curse. Emma draws the sword from her visions and slashes the Evil Queen’s cheek, but Regina sees the cut only appears on her own face, confirming the sword can kill the Evil Queen permanently. Emma tries to stab her, but the Evil Queen teleports away. Gold places a tracking cuff on her arm, promising to finish the job if Emma fails. Later, Emma learns the sword can target a serum (the Evil Queen). With Hook and David, she finds Jasmine bound at Granny’s—a trap. The Evil Queen forces Emma to drop the sword or Jasmine dies. The Evil Queen summons Aladdin from his lamp and uses her first wish: she grants Emma’s secret wish to stop being the Savior, and Emma vanishes. Regina later finds the Evil Queen in the Mayor’s office with Aladdin serving drinks. Knowing they are the same person, Regina asks Aladdin to send her to Emma’s location, and he does.
David tricks the Evil Queen into fighting, steals the lamp, and becomes Aladdin’s master. He wishes that "the Evil Queen gets exactly what she deserves," but nothing happens. The Evil Queen assumes she already has her reward: the Savior gone and Snow under a Sleeping Curse, making David miserable. Hook, Henry, and Jasmine try to capture her, but she escapes. David returns the lamp to Jasmine, and she and Aladdin wish themselves to Agrabah. That night, the Evil Queen, pleased with her revenge, sees a flash of light in Granny’s.
