Date My Mom
Three moms compete to win a date for their child.
Date My Mom, an MTV dating series produced by Kalissa Productions, ran from November 2004 to 2006. A single person aged 18 to 24, who could be straight, gay, or lesbian, went on three dates with different mothers. Each mom tried to persuade the dater to choose her own child, but the dater never met the son or daughter, deciding only based on the mother’s personality and what she said about her kid. Dates varied from lunch to activities like cheerleading, car washing, or tattoos, often matching the dater’s interests. Afterward, a beachfront finale revealed which child was picked. Some have claimed the show was scripted.
