Premise
Each episode features a man or woman who goes to dinner at three different people's houses on consecutive nights. The dater selects three blind dates at the start by choosing from five three-course menus, or a replacement date if someone falls ill. The hosts prepare a meal, often an interesting dish, and the guest arrives. Afterward, each host rates the guest, and the guest picks one for a restaurant date. The two losing contestants receive ready meals. The show later reveals whether the couple is still dating, and sometimes provides updates on the romantic lives of the unpicked hosts.

An Australian version aired on the Seven Network in 2011 hosted by Manu Feildel, and a South African version also existed. Since 2020, a German version has aired on ZDF Neo.
