The primary antagonist of Get Ed is Mr. Bedlam, a greedy industrialist and bureaucrat who has seized control of a large portion of Progress City through theft, aggressive data mining, and the outright destruction of rival businesses. His personal history with the Dojo crew runs deep: he and Ol' Skool were once business partners, but Bedlam cheated his way to sole ownership, leaving Ol' Skool with nothing and prompting the creation of Dojo Deliveries as a rival. Over time, Bedlam's focus shifted toward Ed himself, collecting alien artifacts and even harvesting Ed's DNA in an attempt to alter his own genetic signature to match the teen's. His operation is staffed by an eclectic cast of underlings: Kora, a cunning AI assistant who appears as a golden hologram and occasionally devises better schemes than Bedlam; Crouch, a bumbling robot CEO with a toaster for a head whose only redeeming quality is making toast; Crumbelina, Crouch's wife-like counterpart; and Spyker, a powerful Terminator-style combat robot built specifically to capture Ed. Bedlam also commands armies of DNA clones, Klowns, Twilighters, and various robots, and keeps at least one large Tyrannosaurus called an Omnirex.
