Mega Man: Fully Charged is an animated TV show adapted from Capcom's Mega Man video game series. It marks the third television adaptation of the franchise's Classic line, following the 1994 series and the 1995 Ruby-Spears series. Man of Action Studios developed the show, with Dentsu Entertainment USA and DHX Studios Vancouver producing it for Cartoon Network and Family Chrgd.
The story centers on Aki Light, an advanced robot who passes as a human schoolboy. Built by Dr. Light as his son, he lives with his adopted sister, Suna Light, in Silicon City—a place where humans and robots coexist peacefully, though rogue robots (the Robot Masters) are causing trouble. Aki transforms into Mega Man to stop them and protect civilians. His allies include Mega Mini, a small, sarcastic robot that lives in his forehead; his robot dog Rush; and Suna. Other figures include Sgt. Night, a war veteran who gives anti-robot speeches while secretly working with the rogue robots to restart a human-robot war, and Bert Wily, Aki's classmate and friend.
Main characters include Mega Man (voiced by Vincent Tong), who can fire energy blasts and copy other robots' abilities by replicating their schematics, sometimes taking on their personalities. Mega Mini (voiced by Ryan Beil) powers Aki's armor and makes wisecracks, developing a crush on Blasto Woman after being kidnapped by her. Suna Light (voiced by Caitlyn Bairstow) knows Aki's secret and uses gadgets to help him. Dr. Thomas Light (voiced by Garry Chalk) supports human-robot relations and eventually reveals he knew about Aki's double identity. Rush, the family robot dog, later gets armor and becomes Mega Man's sidekick.
Supporting characters include Bert Wily (voiced by Cole Howard), an inventor and Mega Man fan who doesn't know Aki's identity; the Boom comic mini-series reveals Dr. Wily is his grandfather. Peter Punkowski (voiced by Cole Howard) is a know-it-all student, and Ashley Adderley (voiced by Shannon Chan-Kent) is a sarcastic girl who shares a mutual crush with Aki. Jacques is a small toaster robot at school. Principal 100100 (voiced by Brian Drummond) is a former battle robot now running Silicon Central School. The Good Guild is a police squadron that calls on Mega Man to handle rogue Robot Masters.
