Meet the Team Series
Valve's ten animated shorts introducing the classes.
Meet the Team is a series of ten animated advertisement videos that Valve began in May 2007 to promote Team Fortress 2. Early entries were built on the voice actors' audition scripts, 'Meet the Heavy' being almost a word-for-word copy of his, while later ones such as 'Meet the Sniper' carry more original material.

Reader's Guide
The format varies: 'Meet the Heavy' is an interview, while 'Meet the Soldier' has him giving a misinformed lecture on Sun Tzu to a row of severed BLU heads. Valve used the series to improve the game's facial animation, to introduce items such as the Heavy's Sandvich and the Sniper's Jarate, and, by Gabe Newell's account, to explore making feature films. The final video, 'Meet the Pyro', came out on 27 June 2012.
