Gameplay
Holding the attack button down makes the player move more slowly but automatically picks up every item on screen. The character becomes invulnerable while using a special attack. Score multipliers for destroying enemies and collecting items depend on how close the player gets to an enemy bullet; the nearer the bullet, the higher the multiplier. In shikigami mode, this multiplier also increases the number of items enemies drop, and those items are collected automatically. The Xbox version adds Practice, Gallery, and Replay modes. The PlayStation 2 version adds Practice, Gallery, and Side Story modes. Windows includes I.R. mode and a vertical screen layout. The North American and European releases removed screen rotation and all story content.
