Hadar

Hadar, the second-brightest star of Centaurus.

Hadar (Beta Centauri) is a triple star system in Centaurus with a combined apparent magnitude of 0.61, the eleventh-brightest star in the night sky. It is about 361 light-years away.

Its other traditional name, Agena, refers to the centaur's knee. The IAU approved the name Hadar in 2016.
