The hottest planet, wrapped in a thick carbon-dioxide atmosphere.
Venus is the second planet from the Sun, similar to Earth in size and mass. Its atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide with clouds of sulfuric acid, and at the surface it reaches 737 K with a pressure 92 times Earth's, making it the hottest planet in the Solar System.
It is the brightest natural point of light in our sky, seen as the morning or evening star. It has no moons and rotates very slowly backwards.
