Background
When the series opens, Clay Morrow is president, Jax Teller vice president and Tig Trager sergeant-at-arms; by the end Chibs Telford is president, with Tig as vice president and Happy Lowman as sergeant-at-arms. As the mother charter SAMCRO carries a lot of informal weight with the other charters, but because the club is run democratically it cannot give them orders. Its income comes from running guns, bought through the IRA and sold to gangs such as the One-Niners, and most members work as mechanics at Teller-Morrow.
