The Political Machine 2016 is the third game in the Political Machine series, developed by Stardock. An early access version was released on Steam on November 17, 2015, with the full game following on February 4, 2016. The player's objective is to lead a campaign to elect the President of the United States by traveling between states and performing actions that either raise money or improve poll numbers.

The game features a roster of playable presidential candidates from the Democratic and Republican parties. Democratic candidates include President Thomas Jefferson (unlockable via DLC), President John F. Kennedy (unlockable via DLC), President Bill Clinton, President Barack Obama (added in v1.1 update), Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Vice President Al Gore. Republican candidates include President George Washington (unlockable via DLC), President Abraham Lincoln (unlockable via DLC), President Theodore Roosevelt (unlockable via DLC), President Richard Nixon (unlockable via DLC), President Ronald Reagan (unlockable via DLC), businessman Donald Trump, and Governor Mitt Romney (added in v1.1 update). It is not possible to run as a third-party or independent candidate. The game received 'average' reviews according to the video game review aggregator platform Metacritic.
