Territory Control

Territory Control is a core gameplay mechanic in the Saints Row series, where the player's gang, the 3rd Street Saints, takes over districts by weakening and defeating rival gangs. In the first game, the player helps the Saints take back the Saint's Row district and then the entire city of Stilwater by completing missions related to each enemy faction. In Saints Row 2, the player works to restore the Saints to power after three new gangs—the Ronin, the Brotherhood, and the Sons of Samedi—have taken over the Saints' former territories, and the Saint's Row district has been gentrified by the Ultor Corporation.
