Lore & Background

In the original Saints Row, the player helps the 3rd Street Saints take back the Saint's Row district from three warring gangs: the Vice Kings, Los Carnales, and the Westside Rollerz. In Saints Row 2, the player character, now the Boss, restores the Saints to power by defeating three new gangs: the Ronin, the Brotherhood, and the Sons of Samedi, as well as the Ultor Corporation. In Saints Row: The Third, the Saints must take over Steelport from the Syndicate, which consists of three gangs: the Morningstar, the Luchadores, and the Deckers, with the paramilitary S.T.A.G. later complicating matters.

Reader's Guide

In the first two games, players weaken enemy gangs by completing both main and side missions related to each faction, which can be done solo or with fellow gang members. In Saints Row: The Third, missions must be played in a specific order, and the game incorporates choices that affect the narrative.
