Cat Quest

Cat Quest is an action role-playing game from the Singapore-based studio The Gentlebros, with PQube handling publication. It launched in 2017 to generally favorable reviews. The gameplay uses a top-down camera, real-time combat, dungeon exploration, and equipment upgrades, all set in an open world called Felingard. Players control an anthropomorphic cat on a mission to rescue his kidnapped sister.

The story begins with a cutscene showing the hero and his sister on a boat. A white cat abducts the sister, destroys the boat, and vanishes. The hero washes ashore in Felingard, a cat-ruled island kingdom, where a guardian spirit named Spirry wakes him. A mage reveals a purple mark on the hero’s head marks him as a Dragonblood—a warrior from a group that once defeated Felingard’s dragons but later disappeared. The white cat, Drakoth, is another Dragonblood. He offers to return the hero’s sister if the hero defeats the dragons, and the hero agrees.

Later, the hero learns the Dragonblood were created by a dead race called the Old Masters, primarily by one named Aelius. Exploring ruins, the hero discovers the Old Masters imprisoned Aelius in the Zero Dimension. Drakoth then led the Dragonblood in a rebellion that wiped out both races. After the hero defeats the dragons, he follows Drakoth into the Zero Dimension. There, Drakoth reveals the hero never had a sister—the opening cutscene was a false memory. Spirry admits Drakoth is his master and that the hero was trained to become strong enough to die in the Zero Dimension, freeing Aelius. Drakoth fights the hero but is killed. The hero and Spirry reconcile and escape the collapsing dimension, witnessing Aelius leaving ahead of them.

Cat Quest released for macOS and Windows on August 8, 2017, and for iOS on August 10. The Android version came on September 15, 2017. The Nintendo Switch version launched on November 10, 2017, with a PlayStation 4 release in Europe the same day and in North America on November 14. A physical Switch edition arrived in September 2018 for Europe and North America. In 2020, Tesla added Cat Quest to its in-vehicle infotainment systems via the Holiday update.

The game won "Best Adventure/Role Playing Game" and "Best Art Design" at Intel Level Up 2017.
