Wisp
A burning mask that fires long-range heat blasts.
The Wisp is a ranged monster in the original Risk of Rain. Its field notes describe it as not truly alive: a mask sits at its centre with flame pouring out of it, and it can focus that heat into a long-range blast. When badly damaged, the fuel inside detonates and throws the mask through the air.
Background
The logbook writer admits to being puzzled by how Wisps work. Inactive masks seem to lie all over the planet, yet Wisps only ever show up near the writer, as though something makes them specifically to kill.
