The weapon's capabilities rely on the Society's mastery of orbital mechanics and energy projection. It tracks targets with impossible precision, distinguishing friend from foe amidst battlefield chaos. For the Golds who command it, Archimedes is order; for the Reds, Pinks, and Blues beneath its gaze, it is oppression incarnate. The technology required to maintain such a structure is so complex that only the Society possesses the resources to sustain it, making it an unbreakable pillar of their regime.

In Their Own Story

The sky above the Obsidian Mines was usually bruised purple, but today it burned with a streak of unnatural white. Darrow paused his swing; the canyon's silence suddenly grew heavy. Above, the clouds parted not for sun, but for the shadow of Archimedes. It did not roar; it hummed—a vibration that rattled teeth and made the dust on the floor dance. A single targeting laser, thin as a needle, pierced the smog to lock onto the ridge where Reds gathered to mourn. There was no warning siren, only the cold calculation of a machine deciding a life was an error to be corrected. The ridge dissolved into vapor before the sound could reach them.
