Pokédex

The in-game Pokémon encyclopedia every Trainer tries to complete.

The Pokédex is a comprehensive Pokémon encyclopedia, and completing it is a major goal in each game: players fill it by capturing, evolving and trading with other Trainers to obtain every species. Pokémon are listed by their National Pokédex number, and its entries describe each species, sometimes with claims such as Magcargo's body temperature reaching 18,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
