Lore & Background
The Nameless One's immortality stems from a curse: every time he dies, another person in the multiverse dies to fuel his resurrection. The night hag Ravel Puzzlewell helped the Nameless One's first incarnation become immortal. The Transcendent One is the embodiment of the Nameless One's mortality and the final boss of the game.
