Bradley is the eldest child of Mark Bradley, the head professional at the Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club. Growing up as an all-state ski racer in Woodstock, Vermont, he decided as a teenager to pursue golf over skiing. He lived in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 2001 and 2002, then moved to Hopkinton, Massachusetts prior to his senior year at Hopkinton High School, where he won the MIAA Division 2 individual state championship in 2004. He attended St. John's University and won nine collegiate events before graduating in 2008.

The Kiawah Island air in May 2012 tasted of salt and cut grass. Bradley stood over a 14-footer on the 72nd hole, the flagstick pulled, the gallery a hush of held breath. His caddie said nothing—didn't need to. They'd built a language of nods and half-smiles through the week, a shorthand that meant *you're the one, go hit it.* Bradley set up, took a breath that fogged slightly in the cool Carolina morning, and struck the putt with the same full-commitment swing he'd used on every drive that week. Reader's Guide

Bradley turned professional in 2008. He won on the NGA Hooters Tour in 2008 and 2009, then earned his PGA Tour card for 2011 via the Nationwide Tour. In 2011, he won the HP Byron Nelson Championship and the PGA Championship in his major debut. He won the 2012 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. He had second-place finishes in 2013 and 2014. After down years in 2016–2017, he won the BMW Championship in 2018. He won the Zozo Championship in 2022, the Travelers Championship in 2023, the BMW Championship again in 2024, and the Travelers Championship again in 2025. He also won the Skins Game in November 2025.
