Kimberley Garner

Early life

Kimberley Garner grew up with her parents, Russell and Geraldine Garner, and siblings Christopher and Faye. She attended St George’s School in Ascot, where her sixth-form studies covered politics, photography, art, and religion. After school, she trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and also took fashion classes. She later studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in West Hollywood, California. A Christian, she regularly attended Holy Trinity Brompton. In 2009, she made her first sale of a photograph to Country Life magazine.

Career

Kimberley Garner first became known to a wider audience as a regular on the reality series Made in Chelsea, appearing from March to November 2012. Alongside her television work, she built a career in property development, focusing on projects in London and Miami. Garner launched her first online business in 2011, using the profits to start her own fashion label, Kimberley London. She has served as a director of Kimberley London Ltd since 2013, and was also a director of Young London Events Ltd from 2009 until 2022.

Her first swimwear collection debuted in May 2013, with many more following. All pieces are produced in London using Italian fabrics. The brand relies almost entirely on social media for promotion and sells exclusively online. Forbes has noted Garner’s reputation for meticulous attention to detail.

In 2017, she landed the female lead in the Hollywood action film Sweetheart. The following year, she appeared on the current affairs programme The Wright Stuff to discuss fashion alongside Nina Myskow. In July 2022, Garner introduced a men’s swimwear line called Sunday For Lovers. That September, she revealed she was developing a broader men’s fashion brand named Sunday, with plans to manufacture the fabrics herself.

She explained that the concept was to let women design what they find flattering on men. She also intended to produce matching swimwear for both men and women under the Sunday For Lovers label.
