Early life

Holly Hagan came into the world in Thornaby-on-Tees, a town within North Yorkshire county. As a very young child, she spent three years with her parents in a council house on the Grove Hill estate in Middlesbrough. Her mother placed her in a private nursery. When Hagan was three, that council house was broken into overnight. Later on, her mother spotted three people inside a burning car and decided to relocate the next day. The family moved back to Thornaby-on-Tees, and at age four Hagan began attending St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. Before her time on Geordie Shore, she worked for HM Revenue and Customs and also handled sales at a Santander call centre, all while aiming for a career as a glamour model. After applying for and getting a spot on the show, she left her job.

Career

Holly Hagan was one of the original faces on the MTV reality series Geordie Shore, appearing from its very first episode. Over the course of the show, she had relationships with fellow cast members James Tindale, Scott Timlin, and Kyle Christie. She appeared in 111 episodes before leaving in the season 13 finale in December 2016. During her time on the show, she also posed for men's magazines, including solo shoots and a joint spread with Vicky Pattison for Nuts, and landed covers on both FHM and Loaded.

In July 2012, she did a topless shoot for one of those magazines. In 2014, she put out a remixed cover of the song "Milkshake." Two years later, she starred alongside her then-ex Kyle Christie in the MTV series Car Crash Couples. That same year, she released an autobiography called "Holly Hagan: Not quite a Geordie book."

In October 2016, she appeared as a buyer on Celebrity Storage Hunters UK, and in January 2017, she was on Celebrity 100% Hotter. In early 2018, she joined the E4 show Five Star Hotel with Joey Essex, Lydia Bright, and Spencer Matthews. After a two-year break, Hagan returned to Geordie Shore partway through season 17 in Australia, repeated that for season 18, and became a part-time cast member for season 19, making night-out appearances without living in the house.

She then chose not to return for any more seasons. In 2019, she began starring in the spin-off Geordie Shore OGs, which ran until 2021. In October 2022, she came back for the show's 23rd season, which reunited the original cast except for Vicky Pattison and Gary Beadle, who opted out.
