NERV Headquarters
NERV's main base in the GeoFront, with the Eva cages, Central Dogma and Terminal Dogma.
NERV Headquarters, or NERV HQ, is NERV's sprawling main base, built in the GeoFront cavern beneath Tokyo-3 and mostly finished by 2003. It directs NERV's operations around the world, and its focal points are the command centre and the Magi system, which runs both the base and the city above it.

Background
The visible tip of the base is a black pyramid standing in the GeoFront, with the Commander's office near its top, decorated with a Tree of Life diagram. Trains and car-trains run straight into the HQ. The Evangelions are kept in Eva cages, or pens, from which moving platforms raise them to the catapults that launch them to the surface; Unit-01's cage sits just behind the command centre. Central Dogma, the main section, holds the command centre, the Pribnow Box test facility with its simulation bodies, the Artificial Evolution Laboratory where Rei is said to have been born, the Eva Graveyard of failed prototypes and the Dummy Plug Plant. The deepest level, Terminal Dogma, open only to Gendo Ikari, Kōzō Fuyutsuki and Ritsuko Akagi, lies 2,008 metres below the floor of the GeoFront and holds the LCL Production Plant and the room where Lilith is crucified.
