The Mumbai Indians won their second IPL title on 24 May 2015 by defeating the Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs in the final and became the third team to win more than one IPL title. In the 2015 season, they lost four consecutive early matches but won nine of their final ten games, culminating in the final victory. The team's first IPL title was in 2013, and their third was in 2017.
