Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah (born 6 December 1993) is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team in all formats and has captained India in Tests and T20Is. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of his generation. He represents Gujarat in domestic cricket and the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Bumrah was born on 6 December 1993 into a Punjabi Ramgarhia Sikh family in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His father died when Bumrah was 5 years old. His mother raised him and his sister Juhika. He attended Nirman High School in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad. He made his Twenty20 debut for Gujarat in the 2012–13 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and helped his team clinch the title. He was signed by the Mumbai Indians for the 2013 season of IPL after impressing former India coach John Wright.

Bumrah made his international debut in January 2016 during India's tour of Australia. He made his Test debut in 2018 against South Africa. He has served as vice-captain of the Indian team in Test cricket since December 2023 and has captained the team thrice in the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma. He was named Player of the Tournament in the 2024 T20 World Cup. He is the second highest wicket-taker for Mumbai Indians after Lasith Malinga, with 181 wickets in 142 matches.
