Background
Most of it was shot on location in Scotland, around Doune Castle, Glen Coe and Castle Stalker. Arthur and his knights meet, among others, the Knights Who Say Ni, a French-held castle and the Rabbit of Caerbannog. It took more than any other British film shown in the United States in 1975 and is now counted among the greatest comedy films. Eric Idle adapted it into the musical Spamalot, which won a Tony Award in 2005.
