The story takes place in a fictional world full of monsters and adventurers called Monster Hunters. The plot revolves around a young child, Shiki, who was taken in as an apprentice to a Monster Hunter named Greylee. After Greylee's death due to a gunpowder incident, Shiki returns to Akamaaya Town to join the guild there. He meets Ailee, Greylee's daughter, and they form a party to find the legendary Myo Galuna, Greylee's lifelong ambition.
