Cameron Keith Maybin (born April 4, 1987) is an American professional baseball broadcaster and former center fielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers, Florida / Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, and New York Mets. He was the tenth overall pick in the 2005 MLB draft by the Tigers and debuted with them in 2007. With the Astros, he won the 2017 World Series.

Lore & Background
Maybin played high school baseball for T. C. Roberson High School in Asheville, North Carolina. As a freshman, he led his team to the 2002 North Carolina 3A state title and was named MVP of the state championship series. The summer before his senior season, Maybin won the Connie Mack batting title and the 2004 Connie Mack World Series MVP award. He was also named the 2004 Baseball America Youth Player of the Year. He was traded to the Florida Marlins on December 5, 2007, and played for the Marlins from 2008 through 2010. After the 2010 season, he was traded to the San Diego Padres.

The wind off Biscayne Bay had shifted, and the ball hung in the air a beat too long. He adjusted, took two more steps, and settled under it with the casual ease of a kid who'd been catching in a backyard all summer. The crack of the glove echoed off the empty seats. He flipped the ball to second base, never breaking stride, and jogged back to his spot before the infielders even looked up. The umpire in the dugout shook his head, half-smiling. That was Maybin. That was the reason the Marlins' outfield felt like it had a pulse.

Maybin was a center fielder known for speed and defense. He stole 40 bases for the Padres in 2011 and was a nominee for the Hank Aaron Award that year. He hit .267/.327/.370 with 10 home runs and 23 stolen bases for the Braves in 2015. In 2016 with the Tigers, he hit .315 with 4 home runs and 15 stolen bases in 92 games. He won the World Series with the Astros in 2017.
