Grant Long

Grant Long (born March 12, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player who appeared in more than 1,000 NBA games over a 15-year career. A second-round pick out of Eastern Michigan, he was a rookie power forward on the Heat's first team in 1988–89, when he averaged 11.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals and shared the team scoring lead with 15 points in the franchise's first ever win, at the Los Angeles Clippers on December 14, 1988. In 1994 the Heat traded Long and Steve Smith to the Atlanta Hawks for Kevin Willis.
