In the game, during the second mission (Operation Neptune, the invasion of Normandy), the player character Cpl./Sgt. Frank Keegan and his squad fight their way across a large road bridge leading to a chateau where the Germans are headquartered. They fight through the chateau, only to discover it to be a trap and are quickly surrounded by four Tiger tanks that Keegan promptly eliminates.

In Their Own Story

The rain had stopped, but the gravel drive still glistened under the pale moon. You pressed your back against the ivy-choked wall and counted the guard rotations—two, three, four—before slipping through the servants' entrance. Inside, the chateau smelled of old varnish and cold tobacco. A lieutenant dozed at his desk, a half-finished glass of Bordeaux sweating on the blotter. You did not draw your weapon. You did not need to. Three floors up, the radio operator's voice crackled with orders that would no longer be sent. You wiped the glass, set it neatly on its saucer, and walked out into the wet night as though the chateau had never known you at all.
