Cape Fear
Scorsese's remake of the 1962 thriller: a released convict hunts the lawyer who failed him.
Cape Fear is a 1991 American southern gothic psychological thriller directed by Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by Wesley Strick. It remakes the 1962 film of the same name, which was based on John D. MacDonald's 1957 novel The Executioners, and stars Robert De Niro, Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange, Joe Don Baker and Juliette Lewis.
De Niro plays a convicted rapist who, after fourteen years in prison, uses what he has learned about the law and its loopholes to take revenge on his former public defender, the man he blames for deliberately botching his defence.
