Lore & Background
Two of the game's DLC packs, The Betrayal of Jimmy and Jimmy's Vendetta, take place in the early 1950s, but in a different canon from the base game, while the third, Joe's Adventures, is set during the events of the main storyline, bridging the gap between the two time periods.
In Their Own Story
The rain-slicked streets of Empire Bay gleamed under the neon signs. Jimmy sat in his car, the engine idling, a photograph of a smiling man taped to the dashboard. He crushed the photo in his fist. 'You thought you could walk away,' he muttered, the words lost in the hum of the wipers. He checked his revolver, the weight familiar in his hand. The betrayal was a wound that only blood could close. He put the car in gear and drove into the night, a ghost in a city of ghosts. Every alley he passed held a memory of violence; every shadow could be the next ambush. The hunt had begun.
