Fourteen strikeouts and no baserunners: Koufax's fourth no-hitter.
On September 9, 1965, Sandy Koufax of the Los Angeles Dodgers pitched a perfect game against the Chicago Cubs at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers won 1–0 on an unearned run; the Cubs' Bob Hendley allowed only one hit, by Lou Johnson, who was also the only baserunner of the game.

Background
Koufax became the sixth pitcher of the modern era, and eighth overall, to throw a perfect game, and the first left-hander to do so. It was his fourth no-hitter, breaking Bob Feller's Major League record of three, and he struck out fourteen batters, the most in a perfect game, with at least one strikeout in each of the nine innings. He threw 113 pitches, 79 of them strikes.
