Background
For the first time in World Series history three pitchers combined for a shutout, as Bob Shaw, Billy Pierce and Dick Donovan held the Dodgers scoreless. The game's only run scored off starter Sandy Koufax in the fourth, when Nellie Fox came home as Lollar grounded into a double play. The Dodgers won Game 6 9–3 at Comiskey Park to take the Series.
