1962 AFL Championship vs Houston Oilers
The Dallas Texans won the 1962 AFL title 20-17 in double overtime.
The 1962 AFL Championship Game was played on December 23, 1962, at Jeppesen Stadium in Houston. The Western Division's Dallas Texans, the team that became the Kansas City Chiefs the next year, beat the host Houston Oilers 20–17 after two overtimes. Both teams had finished 11–3, and the Oilers were trying for a third straight AFL title.
