Sengoku Jieitai: Sekigahara no Tatakai

Plot

A training exercise at the Fuji Training Ground is interrupted by a strange storm, which transports First Lieutenant Akiyoshi Iba and his soldiers four centuries back to the Warring States period. Iba wants to get his unit home, but another officer, First Lieutenant Takuya Shimamura, plans to change history before returning. The platoons soon come under relentless attack from samurai, who pick off soldiers one by one in ambushes. Ninjas also join the assault. After Shimamura is beheaded, the remaining troops are annihilated in a raid on Iba’s camp by archers and arquebusiers. Only two people survive. Miyashita, from Shimamura’s platoon, stays in the past with his lover and their child. Sergeant Fukami Moe is brought back to the present by the same storm, but the horror of seeing most of her comrades and both lieutenants killed leaves her with almost no memory. Police find her as the lone survivor. In the end, Moe wanders the streets of Tokyo, unable to speak. Iba’s wife grieves for him after their daughter finds his JGSDF dog tags inside a temple.
