Scourge of Worlds: A Dungeons & Dragons Adventure

An interactive D&D film with twenty decision points.

Scourge of Worlds: A Dungeons & Dragons Adventure

Scourge of Worlds: A Dungeons & Dragons Adventure is an animated film and interactive experience from 2003. It follows the format of 'Choose Your Own Adventure' books, set within a Dungeons & Dragons narrative. Across the film, there are twenty moments where the viewer makes a decision, leading to different outcomes or alternate routes to the same conclusion. If the viewer picks the wrong options, a screen appears stating "your path ends here."

Dan Krech directed the project. It was produced by DKP Effects and released by Rhino Theatrical on June 10, 2003. A collector's edition later that year included a figurine and behind-the-scenes content.

Critical response was mixed. DVD Verdict praised the humor and animation but noted the storyline was mostly linear. Video Business also criticized the linear structure, pointing out that the DVD lacked a rewind function and locked viewers into their choices. Video Store Magazine recommended the film only to "kids who already like the genre."
