Concept
The show is licensed from ITV's format I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. Celebrities must survive in a jungle camp without amenities and compete to stay in the show. Every three days, each contestant receives a handful of rice and soybean or lentils, which is insufficient for survival. They participate in physically challenging contests to win food credits for themselves and their team. Each day, the team nominates one participant to be the bread-winner. At the end of each week, the contestant with the fewest public votes and the one with the most elimination nominations face off in the Maha Jungle Challenge; the loser is eliminated. The audience votes via phone calls or SMS.
Season 1
Ten Indian celebrities were flown to Taman Negara in the rainforests of Malaysia to stay in an outdoor camp with little luxury. Each contestant could carry two luxury items specified before the contest. The ten original contestants were Mona Wasu (winner), Chetan Hansraj (1st runner up), Anaida (2nd runner up), Akashdeep Saigal, Aman Verma, Marc Robinson, Shweta Tiwari (who quit), Ishq Bector, Palak Johal, and Fiza Mohammad. Five wildcards were introduced later: Negar Khan, Jay Bhanushali, Mika Singh, Chitrashi Rawat, and Kashmera Shah. Each week, the audience voted to save their favorite celebrity. Those with the lowest votes faced each other in the Maha Jungle Challenge, and the loser was evicted.
