Nora

The Nora are the mountain-dwelling, matriarchal hunter-gatherer tribe of Horizon Zero Dawn, one of the distinct cultures into which the surviving humans are divided alongside the Carja, an empire of desert-dwelling city builders. Aloy is cast out from the Nora at birth and raised by a fellow outcast, Rost. She trains for years to win the Proving, a tournament that will compel the tribe's matriarchs to reveal her past; after she wins and the cultists attack, she later returns to help the Nora defeat the Eclipse.
