Synopsis

In a small village in China, a young seamstress named Mak Wei-Fong (Lily Chung) reports the mass murder of her family at a police station. He suspects Mak's boyfriend, Gin, a young police officer. When confronted, Gin confesses immediately but provides no details, leading Detective Leoi to believe Gin is protecting the real killer who used his weapon. Mak then arrives and confesses to the murders. During interrogation, she describes her abusive home life: her parents were promiscuous, her siblings unsupportive, and she may not be her father's biological child. Mak reveals that Gin's love gave her strength. She explains that her father raped her, and her family knew but did nothing. Her father later attempted to blackmail her by threatening to tell Gin. After returning home, Mak tried to kill her father with scissors but failed; he tied her up, stripped her, and sodomized her. Gin arrived, beat the father, but stopped due to his police training. Mak then grabbed Gin's gun and shot her father dead, subsequently killing the rest of her family as they returned home.
