History

Choiza and Gaeko were childhood friends and debuted in 1999 as part of the hip hop trio CB Mass. The group released three albums before disbanding in 2003 after it was discovered that the third member had been stealing money from the trio. The following year, Dynamic Duo debuted with Taxi Driver, which sold 50,000 copies in its first month and became the best-selling hip hop album in South Korea. Their second album, Double Dynamite (2005), won Best Hip Hop Album at the 2006 Korean Music Awards.

After founding Amoeba Culture in 2006, they released Enlightened in 2007, the same year they won Best Music Video at the Mnet Asian Music Awards for "Attendance Check." Two more albums followed: Last Days (2008) and Band of Dynamic Brothers (2009). On October 12, 2009, both Choiza and Gaeko began mandatory military service, receiving basic training together at a camp in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province. Through the 'NOWorkend' project, a series of singles from Amoeba Culture, each member has produced and recorded individual tracks.

Their seventh full-length album, Lucky Numbers, was scheduled for July 2013 and featured Hyolyn of Sistar, Primary, Zion.T, and Supreme Team. The eighth album, Grand Carnival, was released in November 2015.
