London is the home of the Hellsing Organization and the battlefield of the series' climax, an apocalyptic three-sided war between Hellsing, the Vatican's Iscariot and Millennium, the remnant Nazi group that has built a battalion of vampires.

Background
Millennium first lures Alucard away to sea, then bombs London with V1 flying bombs and drops paratroopers who massacre and feed on civilians. Iscariot arrives with Enrico Maxwell's crusaders, who also kill London's Protestant survivors. Alucard returns and releases his familiars, wiping out most of both armies, and later absorbs the blood of the three million dead in the city. Millennium's true aim, the Major reveals, was to destroy Alucard.
