Goblins

The bankers of Gringotts.

Goblins run Gringotts Bank and speak a language called Gobbledegook. Relations between goblins and wizards have been strained for centuries. In Goblet of Fire, Ludo Bagman flees after the third task because he cannot pay a bet he owes to goblins. The depiction of goblins in the books and films has been criticised as resembling antisemitic caricatures.
