Psycho Pinball offers four differently themed tables: Wild West (American Old West), Trick or Treat (Halloween), The Abyss (Caribbean underwater), and Psycho (an amusement park). The Psycho table broke new ground by allowing the ball to transition to other tables via jumpers and tents. It is the only table with a spring ball launcher, while the Wild West table uses a plunger instead; neither table has multiball. Wild West is an open table with few obstacles, making high scores difficult, while Trick or Treat is more enclosed with ramp multipliers. The Abyss and Trick or Treat are the only tables with two levels of play—the latter accessed via ramps to an attic/upper area—and The Abyss features a multiball mode typically reduced to two balls.
