Crafting
Blueprints and Blacksmiths turn salvage into powerful gear.
Crafting in Grim Dawn turns salvaged components into crafted items, and those basic crafts can then feed higher-tier recipes for stronger equipment and consumables. Blueprints and recipes drop from enemies, chests and quest rewards and are added to the crafting list at a Blacksmith. Crafting becomes available once a Blacksmith is unlocked through a side quest in Act 1.
Background
Players can craft weapons, armor, accessories, components, relics and consumables. Blacksmiths appear across the world, and some offer extra services such as trading materials, making dynamite or producing random Legendary items. The Inventor can use dynamite to break unwanted gear into scrap and components, and better items yield better materials.
