Serizawa's weapon that killed the first Godzilla.
The Oxygen Destroyer is the superweapon invented by Dr. Daisuke Serizawa in the 1954 film Godzilla. It liquefies organic matter by removing oxygen from water.

Lore & Background
Serizawa discovered the reaction by accident while studying oxygen after the war. Horrified at how it could be misused in an age of nuclear weapons, he used it only once, to kill Godzilla.
He gave his own life in using it, to make sure the weapon could never be replicated, and became the first character to kill Godzilla.
